It's quite hard to find another plant that is even close to being as cool as Chives is. The only thing it demands from you is a nice hair cut from time to time and Chives is willing to flavour up your meals with its characteristic flavour with hints of onion and garlic.
"Make sure to cut your Chives frequently, always keeping about 10cm of your plant." — Our mate the gardener
Often, the easiest things in life are the ones we love the most. A bit of Chives on toast with cream cheese and a bit of pepper... Mmm.
Your indoor garden supplies all ingredients for a beautiful harvest: water, light and nutrients. In the case of a pod that doesn't sprout (which can happen as we work with natural materials), we will send you a new pod free of charge. Take a look at our FAQ.

include all the ingredients needed to ensure the best growth possible for your plants: water, light, and nutrients. Thanks to our patented Float® design, you only have one thing to do: add water once every two or three weeks when the floater sinks. The plant takes all mineral salts it needs out of the water (these are released into the water over the weeks). Discover the Prêt à Pousser technology.
Your Chives will strengthen once cut them, so there's no need to worry, they will always start out very thin. Cut them regularly, but make sure to always keep at least 15cm.
Make sure that your light isn't more than 10cm from your plants. If it's too high, it's normal for your plants to fall.
No worries, it's pretty common. Chives takes some time to germinate, and the rich environment of the substrate is helping the development of algae or mold. Once your plant starts to sprout and grow, its strands will cut off the access to light of the algae, and they will disappear. If the situation seems out of control, do not hesitate to send us a photo in the "Assistance" section of the application.
